Taking Over the Renowned Limerick Student Raceday 2024

On April 11th, 2024, Big Boss Presents took the reins of one of the biggest student events in Ireland—the Limerick Student Raceday—and transformed it into an unforgettable experience for over 12,000 students. As the official event coordinators, we handled every aspect of the event, ensuring that the day was a massive success from start to finish.

Our team took charge of the entire event management, including:

  • Coordinating all social media promotions and ticket sales, including the final round of ticket sales in March.
  • Organising all entertainment across multiple floors of the Limerick Racecourse, with a carefully curated lineup of acts that kept the energy high throughout the day.
  • Organising other entertainment throughout the day, such as the carnival section, where there were multiple rides to bring excitement to the already jam packed day!
  • Brought back “The Big Boss Top”, but this time better than ever. Brought well known Irish DJ’s to host the tent, with over 2000 people in attendance for the majority of the day.
  • Organised official partners for the well known “Marquee” and we were delighted to have Limerick’s own “The Black Rabbit” take over the tent, where acts, indoor wrestling and more could be enjoyed.
  • Managing security and transportation with dedicated buses to and from the venue, ensuring a safe and seamless experience for all attendees.
  • Handling all production setups, from stage design to sound, lighting, and AV across the venue, transforming the racecourse into the ultimate party destination.
  • Sourcing race sponsors for the day’s races, strengthening the event’s connections with brands and adding excitement to the race experience.

In addition to coordinating entertainment, we managed all aspects of media relations, from distributing media passes to organising interviews and coverage for the day. Our team ensured that every media outlet had access to the event, boosting exposure and creating memorable moments that were shared across multiple platforms. Across our platforms you will see professional videos and photography, and “Big Boss TV” brought a lively and entertaining aspect to the day, with queues for interviews throughout the day.

The Limerick Student Raceday 2024 was an overwhelming success, thanks to the meticulous planning and coordination by Big Boss Presents. From entertainment to logistics, we delivered an incredible event that exceeded expectations and solidified our reputation as leaders in large-scale student events.
