February 2nd–4th, 2024 marked a milestone for Big Boss Presents as we launched our very first music festival — Live at the Big Boss Top — at the historic Cleeves Centre in Limerick. What began as an ambitious vision came to life under a stunning big top tent, with three unforgettable nights of live music, top-tier production, and incredible energy.

With just four weeks from concept to completion, our team delivered a festival experience that redefined what’s possible on a tight timeline — managing everything from full-scale production and venue coordination to security, bar and food operations, sponsorships, and digital marketing.

Our Role:

✅ End-to-end production and event planning — including stage design, lighting, sound, bar operations, ticketing, and staff management
✅ Artist booking and liaison — featuring a blend of established and emerging talent
✅ PR & influencer campaigns — targeting regional and national attention with a full digital strategy
✅ Licensing, compliance & logistics — ensuring everything was safe, secure, and professionally delivered

Event Highlights:

🎵 Friday – Irish Trad with a Twist
We kicked off the weekend with crowd-favourites The Tumbling Paddies, supported by Limerick legends Shanksmare and The Rogues. Guests were also treated to a surprise guest appearance from Late Late Toy Show star Seamie Garrihy, along with a vibrant Irish dance performance with a local Limerick Irish Dancing School.

🎧 Saturday – Techno Takeover
The tent transformed into a techno haven, headlined by Scottish DJ Daire, with high-energy sets from Mills and New Era. The night brought an underground club feel to Cleeves, packed with laser shows, deep beats, and full dancefloor energy.

🌟 Sunday – VIP Finale & Festival Fusion
We rolled out the red carpet for local influencers in a dedicated VIP area, before taking the crowd on a journey to the early 00’s with DJ Richard Saunders, Riff Shop Music, and a show-stopping finale by Mark McCabe, who performed Maniac 2000 with rising star Mimi Lane — a true festival moment, and the perfect ending to this wonderful weekend!

This was an explosive weekend of music and celebration that has already positioned Live at the Big Boss Top as a new fixture in Limerick’s music and event scene. The success of this festival not only showcased the capabilities of Big Boss Presentsand Big Boss Hire, but also opened new doors for future large-scale events in the region.
